Really not sure what to do!?

The other day, I had a riding lesson, like I do every other week. For the past few weeks, my lessons have not been as good. A few lessons back, I was doing a lot of practice with my canter and learning to jump, as I am a novice rider. But for the past few lessons, I have not had one canter or jump and I am not sure what to do, because recently I have been hacking out on my friends horses, and slowly building up confidence, but now because I am not doing as much challenging work in my lessons, my confidence is decreasing. It's also very hard because I am riding a school pony (as I don't have my own :'( ) and as he gets ridden almost every day, doing the same thing, he just switches off and goes so slow, but my instructor doesn't correct my position, so I can't kick him properly, to get him going again. At the moment, I am trying to convince my parents to let me do a partial loan, (go down 2-3 times a week) which my friend said that she would come and help me with. Sorry it's a bit long, but I'm really not sure what to do. Try and find a new riding school? Convince my parents for the partial loan? Any advice would be appreciated, but please, no hate.
