How do i get my budgies to eat fruit/vegtables?

Its been a good week since i had them and well i heard they fcould get dieases if they eat to much seeds anyways their store brand birds, id like to know how i cna introduce them to new food ? :o -i get them out of the cage- so yeah i can take them out of the cage andd they all waddle around
