Does getting the nuva ring or any other "inside your body" birth control hurt?

well i originally wanted to try the depo shot but with pcos already i dont think im going to try that. some people said to try the nuva ring. i know a girl who got the t shaped birth control thing, and it hurt her and she waddled for about 4 days after. has anyone had any of the birth controls that go in you and can tell me how you felt about them? i dont want to go through any pain for it and some of them scare me saying they may attatch to or go through parts of your body. any advice anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated.
